Chinese Companies to Pay BMW For Using its Trademark

China regulators have fined two companies for using  a BMN trademark and logo that is similar to BMW. According to Shanghai Daily report, one of the companies involved was created as Deguo Baoma Group Holdings Limited in 2008, but later register the firm as BMN trademark which is similar to German automaker’s blue roundel.

The other company  involved however, received permission to use the trademark for clothing and bags. The companies and one of the owners were fined 3 million yuan (~$432,000 USD) which will have to be paid to BMW, for violating the automaker’s trademarks.
