Eleven year old Britain’s youngest rapist found guilty

Step-mother of victim heard suspicious whispering on the baby monitor in her step-son’s bedroom and caught the 11-year old raping her step-son. It was found out that the defendant had raped this young boy 15 times

The defendant also sexually assaulted a seven-year-old boy and sexually assaulted a 11-year-old disabled boy twice while on bail for rape charges.

Due to legal reasons, the defendant from North Shore, Lancs, who is now 12-years old cannot be named. However, he has pleaded guilty for all the charges made on him of which three of the charges where sexual touching.

He was committed in youth custody to appear for sentence at Preston Crown Court by District Judge Jeff Brailsford sitting at Blackpool Magistrates Court.

Prosecutor, Kerry Grieve, said the offences happened between April last year and August in the seaside town.

On May 29 this year the defendant was playing with a boy in his bedroom when his step-mother heard whispering over the baby monitor.

“She walked into the bedroom to find the defendant raping her nine-year-old step-son on the bedroom floor.”

The defendant told her: “I am sorry, I don’t know why I did it.”

The victim told the specialist police officers in an interview that the defendant raped him almost every day they played together and told him to keep what was happening a secret.

The defendant was on bail when he twice sexually touched and eleven year old disabled boy over his trousers.

According to prosecutors “He has been assessed as at a high risk of joining in further sexual behaviour.

He used some grooming of the other boys. The Crown would say a custodial sentence is appropriate in this case.”

Brett Chappell defending said the defendant had been the victim of sex abuse himself some years ago which makes this case sad for everyone.

The defendant therefore pleads guilty and feels regretful. He realizes he needs help and would work on fixing them.
