Best marriage proposal speech from movies

There’s one thing about marriage that makes you cry, laugh or be all emotional. Everyone has their favorite part during a wedding- it would be the reception time, the bride and groom dance, or the time to exchange vows. Some people don’t like weddings while others do. I love everything about weddings but not just weddings, I love marriage proposals, it gives me goosebumps. Here’s my top favorite proposals from movies:

My affections and wishes have not changed, but one word from you will silence me forever. If, however, your feelings have changed, I will have to tell you: you have bewitched me, body and soul and I love you, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on – Mr Darcy (Pride and Prejudice)

I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home – The Vow (2012)

May you never steal, lie or cheat, but if you must steal, then steal away my sorrows and if you must lie, lie with me all the nights of my life, and if you must cheat, then please cheat death because I couldn’t live a day without you – Leap Year (2010)

Three days ago, all I wanted in life is to be a book editor in New York City, and now, all I want is to be with you – The Proposal (2009)

My heart is and always has been yours, I love you – From Prada to Nada (2011)

This last one isn’t really a proposal but a confession of love. I added it here because it’s so heartfelt that those in love can relate to it. However, you could call it a proposal.

…I’ve never loved anyone my entire life, I’m so anxious to do what is right that I forgot to do what is right, if you choose me, after all my blundering and blindness, be a happiness which no description could reach – Mansfield Park (1999)
